Our terms and conditions do not affect your statoury rights under the Sale of Goods Act, but are set to clarify our proceedures of how we work. 

Place an order at Ella Lou Designer Jewellery signifies that you agree to our terms and conditions of sale. 

Ella Lou Designer Jewellery reserves the right at any time to amend these terms and you agree to be bound by such amendments and updates.

Pricing                                                                                                                                  

1.1 Ella Lou Designer Jewellery reserves the right to alter prices at any time. 

1.2 Bridal Collection - prices shown on our site are for the tiaras shown and excludes alterations and customisation, if you require alterations to the designs then we will provide a full quotation for your approval.  

 

 

Order & Payments                                                                                                                 

 

2.1  Ella Lou Designer Jewellery uses PayPal, a known secure online payment method. Once payment has been received, Ella Lou Designer Jewellery will send an email confirming your order.

2.2 Our bridal collection is made to order and not stocked, our current lead times are3- 6 weeks from receipt of order.  

2.3 Our fashion jewellery collection is available stock on our website. you will be notified within 2 working days if any goods are out of stock. If goods are not in stock, we will give you an estimated delivery time when your order is placed.

2.4 All orders are subject to acceptance and availability of the goods ordered, Ella Lou Designer Jewellery is entitled to refuse any order placed. 

 

Postage & Packaging                                                                                                            

3.1  All order will be sent using Royal Mail and we aim to dispatch stocked goods (excluding our bridal collection) within 3 working days. Please note that goods will not be dispatched on weekends, bank holidays and other public holidays

3.2 When goods are in stock please allow 5-7 days for delivery. For Europe & Worldwide please allow 10-15 working days for delivery.

3.3 Our delivery times quoted is estimated only. Ella Lou Designer Jewellery makes every effort to dispatch goods on time, but does not accept liability for failure to deliver within the stated time. 

3.4 All parcels will need to be signed for, the customer must state a delivery address where someone will be present. In the event that no-one is available to sign for the goods, the carrier will leave notification of their delivery attempt with the necessary redelivery information.

Duties & Local Taxes                                                                                                            

5.1 The customer is responsible for any duties and/or taxes at the point of entry into the destination country. 

5.2 Ella Lou Designer Jewellery does not currently add UK sales tax (VAT)

 

Returns                                                                                                                                  

6.1 If for any reason you are not happy with your Ella Lou Designer Jewellery purchase (excluding our bridal collections), simply return the goods to us in the original condition, together with a completed returns form (please email us to request one).

6.2 All goods must be returned to us within 7 days of delivery, to receive an exchange or refund (less postage and packaging)  

6.3 Any goods received after the 7 day time limit, subject to goods being returned in mint condition and at the sole discretion of Ell Lou Designer Jewellery, you will be offered an exchange or credit note for the values of the goods only, which cane be redeemed within 3 months  

6.4 For all returns you will be required to arrange and pay fort he return of the goods to us by registered post or special delivery. When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting

Proof of posting will assist you in tracking any shipment which is reported as lost, damaged, mislaid or otherwise un-delivered. Ella Lou Designer Jewellery takes no liability for items lost if you are returning to us. 

6.5 Any goods returned incomplete, i.e packaging missing or beads etc will not be replaced or refunded.

6.6 For hygiene reasons we cannot exchange or refund earrings 

6.7 Due to our bridal collections being made to order we cannot exchange or refund

6.8 Please note that refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.

 

Faulty Goods                                                                                                                         

7.1 If you receive goods that are faulty or not what you ordered, please contact us within 3 working days of delivery and we will help you resolve any issues quickly as possible.   

Damage or Loss In Transit                                                                                                    

8.1 Ella Lou Designer Jewellery does not accept liability for any delays or damages once the once the goods have left us and are in possession of the carriers. 

8.2 Goods should be inspected on receipt of delivery, and damages to be advised in writing via email within 3 working days of delivery, so that we can arrange replacement goods and start following up carriers. 

8.3 If you do receive damaged goods, please retain all relevant documentation and packaging so that an insurance claim can be made against carriers.

 

Cancellation                                                                                                                          

9.1 UK residents (only) may cancel their contract (excluding bridal collections) to purchase goods by formally notifying us within 7 working days of placing the order, provided that goods are promptly returned to us in 'as sold' condition with packaging unopened and seals unbroken.

9.2 In the event of cancellation under this provision a full refund including shipping costs, will be given within 30 days of our receipt of returned goods.   

9.3 Bridal Collection Cancellation:- We will only except cancellations (under certain circumstances only) if orders are cancelled within 3 days of ordering - after that date we will have ordered in materials and commenced work - under certain circumstances we may accept cancellations and we will only charge you the cost of materials and any works started. Please contact immediately to discuss your situation with us as we may be able to help…Please note we will only accept cancellations if the circumstances meet within our criteria.

 

Governing Law                                                                                                                     

10.1 Each and every transaction carried out is deemed to be completed within the UK and therefore shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law.  The terms of this charter (and any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claims of whatever nature in relation to them) shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with English Law and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

 

Risk And Retention Of Title                                                                                                   

11.1  Under normal circumstances, goods must be paid for prior to dispatch and the risk of loss, breakage and damage and all other risks shall pass to the customer when the goods have been dispatched.

11.2 Goods shall remain the property of Ella Lou Designer Jewellery until payment in full has been received and cleared.  In the event of any default in payment Ella Lou Designer Jewellery reserves the right to reclaim the goods concerned.  Title of the goods does not pass to the customer until payment is received in full by Ella Lou Designer Jewellery. 

 

Confidentiality                                                                                                                       

 12.1 We take all reasonable precautions to keep information supplied to us by customers strictly confidential. We do not supply 'mailing information' to third parties but do use it to advertise our clients of goods and services we feel may be of interest to them, unless instructed otherwise in writing.

12.2 Information supplied to us may be stored on a computer system for your convenience, but will not be supplied to any outside agency. We prefer to use a secure transaction services to make credit card transactions, since this service is completely independent of our company your credit card details are not divulged to us at any time.

14.1 All of our products are made to a high standard and are not toys. They are made solely as bridal hair accessories & fashion jewellery and are to be used in accordance with this purpose. We advise that all children, especially those under the age of 5, wearing these items be supervised at all times as the beads may become a choking hazard if swallowed.  Ella Lou Designer Jewellery accepts no responsibility for injury caused by the destruction or misuse of these items.

15.1 As all of our products are handcrafted slight variations will occur between the items you see on our website and those you receive.

15.2 The colour control of all materials used in making our products are the responsibility of our suppliers and may occasionally differ from what is shown.

15.3 If we are to match to your colour scheme we will provide samples prior to production. Ella Lou Designer Jewellery will not accept responsibility for colour variances.
